How to Use NextNotes

Get started with NextNotes in under a minute. Your notes, your privacy, your way.

Step 1

Connect Your Dropbox

Click the "Connect with Dropbox" button on the homepage. You'll be redirected to Dropbox where you can securely authorize NextNotes to access a dedicated notes folder in your account.

Privacy Note: We only request access to read and write files. Your notes are stored in a /notes folder in your Dropbox.

Step 2

Create and Edit Notes

Once connected, you'll see a clean dashboard with all your notes in the sidebar. Click the + button to create a new note, or click any existing note to edit it.

  • Give your note a title
  • Write your content (Markdown supported)
  • Click Save to store it in your Dropbox
Step 3

Access Anywhere

Your notes are saved as Markdown files (.md) in your Dropbox. This means you can access them from:

  • The Dropbox app on your phone or computer
  • Any text editor that syncs with Dropbox
  • NextNotes from any browser
